Trump slammed for term ‘riggers’ as he prepares for Fulton County Jail – live
Donald Trump indictment – latest news
Donald Trump continues to come under fire for his use of the term “riggers” in a Truth Social rant, with his former aide Alyssa Farah saying that it is “not a racial dogwhistle” – it’s actually a racist “bullhorn”.
The former president and 18 of his allies were indicted on Monday for running a criminal enterprise to try to thwart the will of the American people and keep Mr Trump in power at all costs.
They have been ordered to surrender for arrest by 25 August where they will be booked into Fulton County Jail for mugshots and fingerprints to be taken – just like any other criminal defendant.
Following the announcement, Mr Trump claimed in a Truth Social rant that he would share an “irrefutable” report on his baseless claims of election fraud at a press conference on Monday morning.
In the post, he also used what appears to be a racist dog whistle – “RIGGERS” – while discussing Black litigators and political opponents.
“The fact that he’s introducing race into this prosecution surprises me, it’s disgusting, it’s textbook Donald Trump, but it comes as no surprise,” Ms Farah told CNN of his comments.
This morning on Truth Social: Bashing Biden and more criticism of Fox
Donald Trump began his day by again blaming his legal woes on President Joe Biden and claiming that none of the trials should be allowed prior to the 2024 election.
Remember, all of these Indictments, Federal, State, and Local, were conceived and generated by Crooked Joe Biden and his staff of Radical Left Lunatics and Thugs for purposes of interfering with the 2020 Presidential Election. None of these trials should be allowed to begin prior to the Election. Republicans must get tougher and smarter, FAST!
He then had another round of media criticism directed at Fox News for showing “the absolutely worst pictures of me, especially the big “orange” one with my chin pulled way back”.
Why doesn’t Fox and Friends show all of the Polls where I am beating Biden, by a lot. They just won’t do it! Also, they purposely show the absolutely worst pictures of me, especially the big “orange” one with my chin pulled way back. They think they are getting away with something, they’re not. Just like 2016 all over again…And then they want me to debate!

Georgia lieutenant governor to be investigated by special prosecutor in Trump indictment
The state’s current Republican Lt Governor Burt Jones, who was a sitting state senator at the time of the alleged crimes, was one of 16 “alternate” electors who falsely swore that Mr Trump won the state in the 2020 presidential election. He also pushed for a special legislative session to overturn Joe Biden’s victory.
But he was not among the 19 defendants in the grand jury case from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who was barred by a judge from indicting him.

Marjorie Taylor Greene mulls running for higher office
In an interview published this week with the Atlanta Journal- Constitution, the congresswoman explained why she attacked Gov Brian Kemp on Twitter after he stated, correctly, that Mr Trump had legitimately lost the 2020 election.
“His message should have been against this, not arguing with President Trump about the election and making it about his own ego and pride over Georgia’s election. That’s a bad statement, and I was very upset over it,” she told the newspaper.
Then, she went on to speculate about her own possible future in politics…

Ex-Trump aide Alyssa Farah slams his use of word ‘riggers’ on Truth Social as a racist ‘bullhorn’
A former aide to Donald Trump has condemned his use of the word “riggers”, saying that it is “not a racial dogwhistle” – it’s actually a racist “bullhorn”.
After he was indicted on charges over his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state of Georgia this week, the former president launched into an angry rant on his Truth Social platform.
In it, he claimed that he would announce a “large, complex, detailed but irrefutable REPORT” proving his election fraud claims in Georgia in a press conference slated for Monday 21 August.
But, in the tirade, he also spewed what appeared to be a racist dog whistle.

Voices: Avengers Assemble – it’s the Trump indictment gang
Comedian Jay Black writes:
The names on this indictment read like the credits of an under-viewed Battle of the Network Stars, except instead of Klinger from MASH and one of Suzanne Somers’s replacements from Three’s Company, we have the likes of traffic court lawyer Jenna Ellis and leopard-printed, Dr Pepper-enthusiast Sidney Powell. Imagine The Avengers with zero superpowers and a carbon-monoxide leak on the set.
